While not completely well-versed in astrology and star signs, I do find comfort and value in adhering to the universal principles that coincide with the movement of our visible solar system. It’s easy to forget that we are part of that same system.
Even if you don’t believe in your horoscope, or that certain energies can be explained by constellation phenomenon, practical evidence still exists to suggest that there’s something to the interconnectedness of our stars, and in particular, in relation to our position in that greater system. Farmers can plant with phases of the moon. The position of the moon has an impact on the tides. Even millennia later, places like The Great Pyramids and Stonehenge align perfectly with the stars.
I have always found ancient history fascinating, especially the concept of early astronomy in Mexico, Egypt, and Greece. To this day, many of their artifacts and engineering show an astounding accuracy that rivals modern technology. Ancient civilizations paid very close attention to the sun, moon, and stars. Much of the knowledge we take for granted, today, would be extremely difficult for our modern society to discover, without our electronics and advanced mathematics.
Out of reverence and curiosity, I aim to correspond major releases with these celestial events. The debut album, Handcraft, was released on the Autumn Equinox. Crate Diggin’ Son of a Gun was released on the Spring Equinox. This season’s release coincided with a new web domain, and a fresh concept for sharing sounds with you!
